Colonel Ronald K. Replogle
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is under the command of Colonel Ronald Replogle, who was appointed Superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol effective March 1, 2010. The Superintendent is supported by the Assistant Superintendent and five Bureau Commanders. The Patrol's Chief of Staff, Captain Timothy McDonald, works under the direction of the Superintendent.
Lieutenant Colonel Sandy K. Karsten
The assistant superintendent oversees the Patrol's Professional Standards Division as well as the Patrol's legal counsel.
Major J. Bret Johnson
Major Johnson commands the Patrol's Field Operations Bureau, which has authority over the Patrol's nine Troops, the Aircraft Division and the Water Patrol Division. Supervision of all field activities, except operations of the Division of Drug and Crime Control, along with the coordination of activities between troops, divisions and governmental affairs is the responsibility of the Field Operations Bureau. The Bureau also coordinates the activities of the Major Crash Investigation Teams located throughout the state.
Major Luke Vislay
Major Vislay oversees the Criminal Investigation Bureau, which has authority over the Crime Laboratory, Drug and Crime Control, Gaming, MIAC and Governor's Security Divisions. Supervision of all Patrol criminal investigative units throughout the state, to include participation in all federal and local investigative task forces is the responsibility of the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
Major Kemp A. Shoun
Major Shoun is commander of the Administrative Services Bureau, which has authority over the Budget and Procurement, Human Resources, and Training divisions and coordinates their activities with the troops.
Major Dale A. Schmidt
Major Schmidt has authority over the Support Services Bureau, which directs the Public Information and Education, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Driver Examination, Motor Vehicle Inspection, and Motor Equipment divisions and coordinates their activities with the troops. Major Schmidt is also responsible for capitol improvements.
Major Timothy P. McGrail
Major McGrail is responsible for the Technical Services Bureau, which directs the Information and Communications Technology, Criminal Justice Information Services, Traffic, and Research and Development divisions and coordinates their activities with the troops.
