PATROL RIFLE OPERATOR

  • March 31 - April 1, 2014
  • September 29-30, 2014

Prerequisite: :  This is an intensive two day course designed for individuals wishing to gain more practical experience with a patrol rifle. It should be noted that this is a physically demanding course requiring running, jumping, calisthenics, and shooting from various positions, not limited to only standing, kneeling, and prone.

NOTE:  Students exhibiting unsafe firearms handling during the course will be requested to leave.

Course Description: This is a basic course that includes instruction on patrol rifle nomenclature and shooting positions. In addition, shooting and moving, reloads, and manipulation of malfunctions will also be included.

Tuition/Registration Fees: Registration fees are due by the first day of class.  If fees are not paid in full prior to completion of class, certificates and continuing education hours will not be issued unless payment is received.

Cost:

  • $156 - tuition, meals, and lodgin
  • $84 - tuition and meals

Continuing Education Hours:

  • To be determined

Required Equipment: Patrol duty rifle, 3 rifle magazines, sling, web gear with holster, pistol and rain gear.

Ammunition Requirements: 500 rounds rifle ammunition, 200 rounds pistol ammunition.
