Narcotics Control Assistance Program Monitor
The Missouri SAC supports the Department of Public Safety's administration program of the JAG Program. This program contains a series of policies, procedures, systems, and reporting guidelines that allow the State of Missouri to effectively manage the JAG Program through evaluation of the drug and violent crime environment in the State, assessing the effectiveness of existing programs, and offering data to support development of new programs.
As part of its duties, SAC provides overall project management, training, and support services, assists with successful development and modification of Missouri's drug and violent crime strategy, and conducts a statewide illicit drug and violent crime problem analysis. SAC also provides research services to Missouri criminal justice authorities and other public officials, conducts surveys and interviews in support of the analysis of drugs and violent crime, and assists in development and implementation of evaluation criteria and information systems for programs supported under the JAG Program. It produces an annual report describing all approved research designs and reports of success for funded programs within the State. SAC also designs, implements, and maintains a business systems repository for Missouri illicit drug, violent crime, and criminal justice data for this project.
