MSHP Traffic Arrests Preface
A series of statistical tables are provided describing arrests made by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The primary source for these statistics is the Traffic Arrest System (TAS) maintained by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Statistics describe MSHP arrests for:
- Moving Violations: speed, hazardous vehicle conditions, and other hazardous moving violations
- Alcohol Violations: alcohol and drug related violations
- Licensing Violations: driver license and safety responsibility violations
- Other Violations: motor vehicle inspection, registration and ownership, commercial motor vehicle, and other traffic felony violations
