The Missouri VECHS program (MOVECHS) was developed to enable qualified entities access to Missouri open and closed criminal history record information and national (FBI) criminal history record information with the submission of fingerprints and a waiver statement on current and prospective applicants, employees and volunteers through the MSHP. Generally, to be a qualified entity, the entity must provide some type of care, treatment, education, training, instruction, supervision, recreation or care placement services for children, the elderly, or disabled persons. The Missouri Data Exchange (MoDEx) is a statewide data warehouse developed to provide information sharing service to Missouri law enforcement agencies.
