Generally, all new car dealerships perform inspections. Many garages that repair vehicles are licensed to perform inspections. They will display a large yellow sign with black lettering designating them as an official inspection station.

View SHP-511 Q: What are the fees for the inspection? A: Inspection stations may charge a fee of up to $12.00 for passenger vehicles and trucks, and $10.00 for motorcycles. Q: What if the Missouri inspection expires while my vehicle is in another state? A: You will be allowed to register your vehicle with the Department of Revenue's Motor Vehicle Bureau while residing out of state temporarily, without obtaining a safety inspection. A safety inspection must be obtained within ten (10) days of the vehicle returning to the state.
